On November 13, 1990, the first website on the World Wide Web was published by the British physicist Tim Berners-Lee. Only a little over 5 years later we went live with our magazine “Echinocereus Online”, now 25 years ago. As a monthly e-magazine and the first website about the genus Echinocereus in general, useful information about the genus Echinocereus was made available in various sections. In addition to plants of the month and pictures of the natural habitats, field numbers, literature and various other topics were also presented. We have basically remained true to this structure until today. What was once a monthly magazine is now a blog on the genus Echinocereus with many different categories, currently around 4,500 posts and, since mid 2014, with daily posts without a day's break. A lot has also changed technically: while the first contributions were still written “by hand” in HTML in 1996, we now use a contemporary and simple design as the front end with all the necessary functions in the back end of a modern editorial office. Of course, Echinocereus Online is also optimized for display on mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets, thus enabling readable mobile.
We want to celebrate this anniversary and are therefore offering a 20% discount on all available 50 and 100 seeds portions as well as 40% discount on our books.
